Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a type of automatic identification technology that uses radio frequency to perform non-contact two-way data communication and read and write recording media (electronic tags or radio frequency cards) to achieve the purpose of identifying targets and exchanging data. It is considered to be one of the most promising information technologies in the 21st century.
The RFID system mainly consists of three parts: RFID tags, readers and antennas. The tags are attached to the objects to be identified and store relevant information about the objects; the readers send radio frequency signals through the antenna to activate the tags and read the information in the tags; the antenna transmits radio frequency signals between the tags and the readers.
