Description:
The LF and UHF combined card is a kind of smart card that integrates a low-frequency chip and an ultra-high-frequency chip on the same card.
Working Principle:
Low-frequency Part: The working frequency is usually 125kHz or 134.2kHz, and it works through the inductive coupling method. The low-frequency radio frequency signal emitted by the card reader makes the coil of the low-frequency chip in the card generate an induced current to power the chip, thus realizing the data interaction between the chip and the card reader. The data transmission speed is slow, and the communication distance is generally within 10 centimeters. With a power amplifier, it can be extended to about 80 centimeters.
Ultra-high-frequency Part: The working frequency is in the frequency band of 860 - 960MHz, based on the principle of electromagnetic backscatter coupling. The radio frequency signal emitted by the ultra-high-frequency card reader is received by the antenna of the card, which provides energy for the ultra-high-frequency chip. The chip modulates the signal and loads the data onto the reflected wave. The card reader receives and processes the reflected signal to achieve fast data transmission over a long distance. The reading distance can reach 1 - 10 meters, and multiple cards can be identified simultaneously.
