What is usb interface card reader?
The USB contactless IC card reader is a device that connects to a computer or other equipment through a USB interface to read and write contactless IC cards.
Features:
- Convenient and Quick: It is a plug-and-play device. There is no need for a complicated installation process. Just plug it into the USB interface, and the system will automatically recognize it, allowing for quick use.
- High Compatibility: It can be compatible with a variety of operating systems, such as Windows, Mac OS, Linux, etc., and can also be adapted to different types of computers and smart devices.
- Compact Size: It is easy to carry and use in a mobile way, and is suitable for different scenarios, such as outdoor mobile office, temporary event venues, etc.
Working Principle:
The card reader uses radio frequency identification (RFID) technology to transmit radio frequency signals of a specific frequency. When the contactless IC card enters the radio frequency field range of the card reader, the coil inside the card generates an induced current to power the chip. After the chip is activated, it modulates the stored information onto the radio frequency signal and sends it back to the card reader. The card reader demodulates and decodes the signal to obtain the data in the card.
Application:
In access control systems, it is used for personnel access management, identifying identities by swiping cards and controlling the opening and closing of access control. In the transportation field, such as subway and bus card swiping systems, it is convenient for passengers to swipe cards to enter the station and take the vehicle. In consumer payment scenarios, such as supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, etc., it can be used for contactless payment. It can also be applied in many fields such as logistics management, production line management, identity recognition, etc.
