PLA card (polylactic acid card) is an environmentally friendly smart card made of polylactic acid (PLA) material. PLA is a new type of bio-based and biodegradable material, mainly made of starch raw materials extracted from renewable plant resources (such as corn). Through processes such as saccharification, fermentation and chemical synthesis, PLA is made into high-purity lactic acid, and then polymerized into polylactic acid. This material has good biodegradability and can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature after use, eventually generating carbon dioxide and water, and will not cause pollution to the environment.
